machine guns? i dont think so buddy unless there using aliminimum as the armor. and there is a future for tanks. especially when the armor advances and becomes virtually immune to roadside bombs. and even as is the roadside bombs of today have an extremely hard time taking out a tank.

Tanks are nothing more than big lumbering coffins, they offer little in the modern battlefeild and can be taken out by virtualy anything. Roadside bombs, machine guns, helicopters, airstrikes, get a AH-64 or KA-50 in the skies and all the tanks on a feild can be destroyed with ease.
