I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good military books, both modern and historical?
ok, sorry for the lack of detail. i have read the prince, and the art of war, and i am both looking for novels, and non fiction books

I could give you a long list, but one I’d highly recommend right now is T.X. Hammes’ "The Sling and the Stone." Since its publication a few years ago, I’ve noticed he’s becoming a "talking head" on more and more TV programs.

What do you mean by military books? Like novels and such? If by novels, i’m a big Tom Clancy fan.

    Other "military" books

Sun Tzu – The Art of War
Adolf Hitler – Mein Kampf (It was poorly written, but interesting)

Go to borders and check in the military section. Look for stuff you like.

Sun Tzu, the art of war. My favorite.
The Maquiavelum Prince, well this is more like politic.

Exist a lot of militar books, even a lot of economy and politic books based on the art of war.

My favorite book of all time is called Cauldron by Larry Bond. It was a best seller and based on modern day German/France grouping together attacking Poland. The US/Britain do their best to stop them. It combines naval, air, ground combat as well as CIA action. A masterpiece that puts Tom Clancy to shame. Are there any other fans of this book? Please e-mail me if so.

Just my 2 cents ~ Jeff
